Baptism is not only a command from Jesus but a celebration of the new life we have received in Him. If you’re ready to be baptized, let one of our pastors know a week in advance and we’ll get you the info you need. Make sure to invite all your family and friends to celebrate this awesome day with you!

Sunday Seconds Potluck Fellowship Meal will be held Sunday, May 18th, right after the worship service in the Fellowship Hall. The church will provide pulled pork sandwiches, and attendees are asked to bring sides or desserts based on last names:

• A-H: Salad (tossed, pasta, or fruit)

• I-P: Vegetable or casserole

• Q-Z: Dessert

Evangelism Training at 22nd Street Baptist Church, May 23rd – 24th – Paul Pyle, Pastor of Mountain View Baptist Church, will be leading this training that he has developed and used with great success over the years. Paul not only has a love and gifting for evangelism but a passion to see others trained to share the gospel in a way they can use in easy and natural ways. The training will be Friday 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm (dinner provided) and Saturday 7:30 am – noon (breakfast provided). The cost is $10 and the registration deadline is May 19th. Need more info? Saturdays in June & July we will be providing a great time for the whole family! Here at the church from 8-10AM. All ages welcome, free food, games & water play. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact Margy Killen at margy@22church.com. Extra flyers are available on the back table of the Worship Center.

Please be in prayer for our team headin to South Africa in July. later this year. They will be working with our IMB missionaries there to minister to refugees, equip pastors and leaders, and share the gospel. You can financially support this trip by giving to the designated missions account: Sub-Saharan Africa Missions through our giving portal.

There is nothing more powerful than when God’s people pray. We have a prayer emphasis on Sunday mornings to pray for the worship hour. Prayer teams of 3-4 people will gather in the prayer room and pray for the worship service while it’s going on. Prayer guides will be provided to assist you in your praying.
