Welcome to Kidzone Children's Ministry
Here at 22nd St., we believe that children are beloved in the eyes of God and we delight in the joy of His precious ones. We hold fast to the promise in Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
The most important part of your child’s Christian walk is the foundation; a building can only be as strong as the foundation on which it stands. Our mission is to connect your child to God, to His Word, and to develop Christ-like friendships that connect with the world and our community. You will have the privilege to work with an amazing team of volunteer teachers and church members.
We highly value your children’s safety and security. Each week your child will be checked in and a name tag will be printed with a matching parent pickup tag that you will you need to keep and show when picking up your child. We also have mandatory annual Child Safety Training as well as background checks for all teachers and leaders.
If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our Children’s Ministry here at 22nd St. please contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Kendyl Buell, at 520.747.3500 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kidzone Children on Sundays
Kidzone Connect Groups
Here at 22nd St. we’re dedicated to partnering with parents to lead children to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Through age-specific lessons, activities, and small groups that we call “Connect Groups,” children ages birth-5th grade learn biblical truths and real-life lessons they can apply to their lives every week.
KidZone Connect Groups meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45.
Children’s Church (Kindergarten – 3rd Grade)
KidZone Children’s Church is held during our Sunday morning worship service from 11:00-12:00 for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. During Children’s Church, kids participate in engaging worship designed just for them that includes singing and teaching lessons using videos, object lessons and activities that help them grow and develop their faith.
Childcare is available for children ages newborn to pre-K.
Whether you are dropping your child off for Connect Group or for Children’s Church, please check your child in at the check-in counter located in the KidZone building reception room. If you are not familiar with the layout of our campus, please stop by the Welcome Center and one of our greeters will be more than happy to direct you to the KidZone building.
If you would like to know more about our Sunday morning activities, please email our Children’s Ministry Director, Kendyl Buell.
Kidzone Children on Wednesdays
TeamKid: Kids in Discipleship by Lifeway (For Kids Preschool to 5th Grade)
TeamKID is a fun, high-energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. All parts of TeamKID-Bible stories, Scripture memory, life application, missions, and recreation-connect to teach life lessons to kids.
TeamKID meets during the school year (August - May) on Wednesday nights from 6:00 - 7:00 PM.
What is the TeamKID Club?
A TeamKID Club is a group of 30 or fewer children led by a head coach and at least one coach who use the TeamKID resources to enhance spiritual growth. The resources provide churches with many suggestions and ideas about setting up and running a TeamKID club.
Why is the KID capitalized in TeamKID?
The KID stands for Kids in Discipleship. Discipling children is the goal of TeamKID.
What happens in a TeamKID meeting?
TeamKID is designed for children to do more than memorize Scripture. It helps children understand what the verses they memorize mean because all parts of the TeamKID meeting focus on one Bible message. The noncompetitive games, Bible story, memory verse, missions, refreshments, and conclusion all contribute to help children understand and apply God's Word to their lives.
