Ashley Evans
Serving in full or part time ministry since 1991, Ashley Evans served in Student Ministries and Church Planting before becoming our Pastor in November of 2011. As Pastor, he’s responsible for setting the vision for the church while helping the church embrace it and live it out. In addition, Ashley loves to teach God’s word through sermons and small group discipleship settings. He also loves building relationships and ensuring our people are being cared for.
Ashley spent most of his childhood, teens and college years growing up in different parts of Florida and Alabama. During his high school and college years, he lived in Mobile, Alabama where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Mobile. He attended seminary at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas where he earned his Masters of Divinity. He and Briggette were married in 1993 and have three wonderful kids ranging from college to high school. While Ashley is thankful for the experiences and challenges of moving around frequently while growing up, he’s glad his family has found a place they love and they’re excited to see their kids grow up in Wildcat country.
Ashley’s inspiring mentors are some of the great men of God he has gotten to know in the churches he has served. He loves southern style cooking and Gulf Coast seafood. Ashley also enjoys smoking briskets and pork butts, watching NASCAR and college sports – especially his beloved Florida State Seminoles. He loves reading and learning from the great church leaders of today as well as those from our past.
